We’ve taken on a lot of feedback from last years Summer Ball so this year is going to be bigger and better with a brand new location as well (with no hills!). We cannot wait to show you what's in store!

What to expect:

  • 2000 UWE Students - This event is open to all years!

  • Live Acts performing on 3 separate stages with a wide range of music for you to enjoy

  • Picturesque Manor House backdrop just 15 minutes from UWE Frenchay Campus

  • A variety of bars for you to choose from

  • Dedicated cocktail and wine bar

  • Loads of Games & Activities for you to take part in

  • Variety of street food traders available for you to enjoy from day into evening

  • You can bring one non-UWE guest, as long as it’s a UWE student purchasing the ticket for them, and they will need to arrive at the venue with you

FAQ:

WHAT IS THE SUMMER BALL?

A) The UWE Bristol Summer Ball is the end of year party organised by Dazed Events and Sounds & Silences on behalf of The Students’ Union at UWE. It is running from 2pm - 10pm with several stages of music, entertainment, food stalls, bars and activities throughout the day. The event is only open only to UWE students plus their guests!

HOW DO WE CLAIM OUR BUS TICKETS?

A) You will be sent 2 links to your email and WhatsApp where you can claim an Outbound and Inbound bus ticket. More information will be given closer to the event!

REMINDER: There is no parking at the event and you will be turned away.

WHERE WILL OUR TICKETS BE SCANNED?

A) They will be scanned by one of our stewards at The Students’ Union Bar before you get on the bus.

WILL THERE BE BAG CHECKS?

A) There will be security conducting searches before you get on the bus so remember, no booze, no food, no sharp objects, nothing illegal, and make sure to bring your ID.

CAN I BE TURNED AWAY FOR BEING TOO INTOXICATED?

A) Yes. If you’re too intoxicated and could pose a risk to yourself and or others then the security reserve the right to refuse you entry onto the bus.

WILL THE BARS TAKE CASH?

A) This is a cashless event so make sure to bring other methods of payments.

CAN I BRING NON-STUDENT FRIENDS OR FRIENDS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES?

A) YES! You can bring one non-UWE guest, as long as it’s a UWE student purchasing the ticket for them, and they will need to arrive at the venue with you.

IS THERE DISABLED ACCESS?

A) Yes! We really want everyone attending to have the most enjoyable time possible. If you have any accessibility needs, please get in touch with the SU to organise this. suevents@uwe.ac.uk

DO I HAVE TO BE OVER 18 TO ATTEND?

A) This is an 18+ event so you will need to bring your ID

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?

A) You cannot bring alcohol but there will be alcohol sold at the event. There will be a main bar serving a variety of beverages at student prices.

WILL THERE BE FOOD AT THE EVENT?

A) Food will be available to purchase from a variety of street food traders for you to enjoy from day into evening.

Q) WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

A) Please check the event details carefully before purchasing a ticket as our event partners can’t offer a refund if the event is going ahead as planned. You will be able to claim a refund if the date or location of the event changes, or in the event of a cancellation.
